Case Study: Blogger Relations 

Challenge

  • LG Electronics undertook a global blogger relations program aimed at promoting LG’s latest flat panel TV in local markets and  reaching a variety of different audiences.
  • B-M Australia worked closely with LG Australia to implement the program into the Australian market and to establish relationships with key Australian bloggers.

Solution

  • B-M’s experience and knowledge within the digital environment assisted LG to contact 5 key Australian bloggers to participate in the program.
  • The opportunity to give away a LG LG70 TV through a competition of their choice encouraged further blog posts mentioning LG and the new TV.

Outcome

  • Throughout the program, B-M solidified relationships with key bloggers and created goodwill between bloggers and LG. Positive feedback suggested the bloggers were open to future opportunities and several expressed interest to work on a continual basis with LG.
  • As a result of the program, 13 articles were posted online by target bloggers mentioning LG and the LG LG70 TV, with over 100 comments made by readers.
  • The ROI of the total program was over 900%.
